The TED story

As a passionate first-year student at BIT Durg, attending TEDxBITD on August 19, 2023, marked a transformative moment in my journey. Inspired by Jeet Singh Arya’s powerful talk, “Reviving Roots: Unexplored Bastar and Beauty of Chhattisgarh,” I realized the potential of ideas to inspire change. This talk deeply resonated with me, as it echoed my grandparents’ legacy of serving tribal communities and ignited my determination to contribute meaningfully to my home state, Chhattisgarh. Driven by a vision to uplift local communities, I am committed to bringing TED-like inspiration to my university. Through organizing a TEDx event, I aim to provide a platform for untold stories and ideas that can spark transformative change. My goal is to empower individuals with unique experiences to inspire others, fostering innovation and progress within and beyond our region. My passion for impactful solutions extends to my work in AgriTech. Recognizing the challenges faced by farmers in Chhattisgarh, I co-developed a smart irrigation system as part of the Smart India Hackathon 2024, winning recognition for its potential to address water scarcity and enhance agricultural productivity. This endeavor aligns with my dream of building an AgriTech startup that revolutionizes farming practices through accessible and cost-effective technology. Beyond academics, I find inspiration in TED Talks, particularly Tim Urban’s “Inside the Mind of a Master Procrastinator,” which taught me to confront life’s ticking clock with purpose and urgency. This philosophy fuels my endeavors to create meaningful change in my community and beyond.
