I'm Saanvi Dande, a young aspiring-entrepreneur currently tangled in the murky waters of pursuing a Computer Science degree (something that has proven to be an eventful journey). As someone who loves working in a team, I thrive in team building activities and enjoy collaborating to create a body of work that displays the effort put into a project. Brainstorming to come up with ideas that venture out of the norm is a quality that helps me work well under pressure and is something that I hope to utilize in future endeavors. The challenges that come with new experiences exhilarate me, rather than deter me. I am eager to explore different avenues that can be tailored to fit my interests to be creative. When I'm not experimenting with innovative projects or tinkering with technology I've been exposed to in my studies, you can find me screenwriting, sketching in the journal on my bedside table, penning down poetry, crocheting or trying out new sports, with much difficulty, to keep myself active!

As far back as my memories go, I've always had the persistent need to be creative. From screenwriting, journalism, artistic expression through music, art, and crocheting- I've always found these to be the best outlets for individual expression, and after being exposed to the world of computer science, I've matured from a hopeful adolescent who dreamed of writing till her hands wore out, to an individual keen to explore her practical skills to apply them to the very interests that form the keynotes of her personality. With technological advancements that bend the fabric of reality, I increasingly find myself passionate to achieve the same by utilizing the vast resources we have available in the present-day arena. With some platforms of interests, like the text-adventure platform, Inform increasingly becoming obscure in popular culture, to talk about my interests to help promote their use is a luxury.

"Telling the bees" is a conceptual European ideology I stumbled upon happenstance, though it has stuck with me for far longer than most other peculiar things. It was European custom, apparently, to tell bees of important things that happened in one's life and if the custom was omitted or forgotten, it was believed a penalty would have to be paid, such as the bees abandoning their hive, stopping the production of honey, or simply dying. This is an idea I find myself thinking about more often than I would like to admit and is something I seem to apply to anything I find worth sharing. Just as bees were told important things, in the hopes that these thoughts would reach the furthest corners of the world, I believe it's important to both listen to and talk about those ideals you'd like to see shared to people willing to listen. And maybe, just maybe, they too would be heard by metaphorical bees and spread across the seven seas.

Unlike most others, my TED story is brief but one that has impacted me even in this short time. I've had the wonderful opportunity to experience a short-lived stint working in the communications and publicity department of TEDx as a fresh recruit, eager to dip my toes in the proverbial pool of the TEDx world. Previously, I've seen some TED talks online from a diverse pool of speakers, ranging from writers to professional chefs- it was my interest in public speaking and learning about the logistics behind running such widely awaited events that pushed me towards aiming to be a part of this community.

Crisis Management. Although I've heard that I present a seemingly strong-willed front, seeing anything differ from a meticulous plan would phase anyone. But I believe that resolving issues swiftly is something my skillset tends to.
