My career in Modern Languages and Interculturality has enlightened my view and has helped me to find new paths in the role of teaching a second language; being an ESL teacher does not only involve learning the grammar and basics to communicate, but also involves acquiring communicative and social skills to live in a globalized world. Therefore, the power of words, shaping ideas, and spreading the word among youth is an essential and powerful tool to empower our youth learners. Additionally, I have a Master's Degree in Intercultural and Inclusive Education, which allowed me to broaden the perspective of Peace Education through problem-solving and empowering our students to take an active, responsible role in society. I've been using the TED Talks for over 5 years now, inside my classrooms, and even the animations to explain basic science concepts. However, in August 2024, I became the co-organizer of the TEDx event for my high school, and I witnessed the beauty of the work behind the scenes to prepare a TEDx event. Ever since, I've become a TEDx fan.
