Bio

From a young age, I have been a member of the international community, starting my journey at UWC East Africa in Tanzania, where I immersed myself in a diverse cultural environment. My path then led me to the University of Pennsylvania, where I continue to embrace this global perspective while majoring in Biochemistry and Chemistry and minoring in Modern Middle Eastern Studies. While my academic focus is deeply rooted in STEM, particularly in research and chemistry, my passion for cultural exchange remains strong. I dedicate my free time to learning about different cultures and building bridges that connect them. As a UWC alum, I believe in the power of diversity and the necessity of globalized education to unite nations in addressing shared global challenges. This belief drives my work with the Hasarost Foundation, where I strive to ensure that despite the distance, kids from my hometown have the opportunity to learn about the world and contribute to the development of their communities and beyond. Despite my commitment to STEM, I am equally dedicated to developing my social and leadership skills. At the University of Pennsylvania, I actively engage with the International Students and Scholars Services, working closely to support my peers in adapting to new cultural environments. Additionally, I lead a network of aspiring leaders through my role as the cohort leader of the Penn World Scholars program, where I help guide and empower a community of future global change makers.
