II am Michele Magelli, a senior at Liceo Malpighi in Bologna, Italy. In my free time, I work as a basketball coach and have had the opportunity to coach at NBA summer camps. I have learned the value of teamwork and leadership. Sharing my passion for this sport with young people from all over Italy has strengthened my belief that sport can unite people and create lasting bonds. Volunteering is another fundamental part of my life. The three summers I spent at Paideia Campus have deepened my understanding of sustainability and social innovation. My role in the executive production of TEDx in Pollica and my participation in the Climate Shapers Bootcamps in collaboration with FAO - in Iceland, at the United Nations in New York, in Marettimo, and in Pollica - have given me a global perspective on the environmental challenges we face. Additionally, my study of languages like Chinese and Spanish reflects my conviction that intercultural understanding is essential in today's world.

I am passionate about the transformative power of sports and the importance of intercultural understanding. As a basketball coach, I've seen firsthand how sports can unite people from diverse backgrounds, teaching valuable lessons in teamwork and leadership. This passion drives me to create opportunities for young people to experience the unifying power of sports. Additionally, my commitment to intercultural exchange stems from my belief that understanding different cultures is essential in today’s interconnected world. Learning languages like Chinese and Spanish has opened my eyes to new perspectives and ways of thinking, reinforcing the importance of empathy and global awareness. My experiences at Paideia Campus, TEDx Pollica, and Climate Shapers Bootcamps have further fueled my dedication to sustainability and social innovation. I am driven by the desire to address global challenges through collaborative efforts and innovative solutions. Through my work and volunteer experiences, I aim to inspire others to recognize the value of sports and cultural exchange in building inclusive, resilient communities.
