Bio

Michelle Y. Talbert, an author, recovering attorney and the curator of the Her Power Hustle Podcast and Community is passionate about networking and relationships and writes on business and entrepreneurship topics for a number of sites, including Black Enterprise and Killer Startups. She supports women as they build relationships and networks that take their careers and businesses beyond the next level, with her Her Power Platform™ Program. This program provides women with the tools to Create Connections that Profit™. This program provides women with the tools to Create Connections that Profit™. She is also a writer, social media correspondent and content producer for live events and publications, including Black Enterprise, Killer Startups and many others. At the request of the White House’s Office of Digital Strategy she covered President Obama’s 2015 State of the Union Address from the White House as a Social Media Influencer and recently covered the 46th Annual NAACP Image Awards on behalf of Hyundai’s first diversity campaign, as the Company's Social Media Maven. As a ‘non techie’ startup founder, she’s served as a ‘Sensei’ (teams mentor) for the AT&T Hackathon held at Howard University and was a member of the 2014 Lean Startup Machine winning team. Her Power Hustle is an offical LeanIn Partner, as well. As a Relationship Strategist she uses her expertise in social media to write, speak and build programs for relationship building and networking. She’s appeared on various radio programs, including WHUR and Sirius/XM and has been featured in EBONY, USA Today and Forbes. After attending community college part-time for 10 years, while working working as a secretary by day and raising her children, she transferred to Cornell, graduating at 30, and then went on to receive her law degree from Penn with a Business Certificate from Wharton at 33. Michelle left the full-time practice of law in 2012.
