Muhsinah Muhibi is a fourth-year medical student at Edo University Iyamho, a writer, and an emerging voice in youth-led community development. With a strong interest in global health, storytelling, and innovation, she leverages platforms like Substack and LinkedIn to explore topics ranging from medical education to social advocacy. Muhsinah is also the founder of Husnah’s Compendium, a creative initiative offering writing and design services, and she actively contributes to student leadership and campus organizations. As a TEDx Organizer, she is passionate about creating a platform that highlights fresh ideas, untold stories, and the brilliance of everyday people in her community.

Creating spaces that empower people especially young people,to dream bigger and speak louder. I’m passionate about health equity, storytelling, and building platforms that center authenticity, impact, and growth. Whether I’m writing, designing, organizing, or mentoring, I thrive on projects that connect purpose with people.

We all have stories that matter..stories that can shift perspectives, challenge norms, inspire and ignite action. But in many Nigerian communities, these stories are often silenced by circumstance, culture, or lack of access. My idea worth spreading is that giving local voices a global stage can transform both speaker and society. By highlighting young changemakers, overlooked innovations, and culturally grounded wisdom, we can inspire a new generation of leaders who believe their voice is not just valid but vital even.💯

TED was my first glimpse into how powerful a well-told idea could be. I remember watching a talk years ago and thinking, “This is how learning should feel.” Since then, I’ve used TED as fuel watching talks during exam stress, searching for meaning, or just to remind myself why I care about change. But my story really starts with the gap I’ve seen: in Nigerian universities, in small towns like mine, there are bold, brilliant voices with no platform. I’m hosting a TEDx event because I believe in amplifying those voices,the ones that carry culture, resilience, faith, and ambition. This is not just about talks; it’s about letting the world hear from the places it usually ignores.

Spotting invisible potential..especially in people and in messy ideas. I find myself drawn to what others overlook: a student who doesn’t speak much but has a brilliant mind, or an idea that feels chaotic at first but just needs the right framing. I’m good at listening beyond what’s said, at catching the “almosts” and turning them into “aha!” moments. Whether it’s through writing, editing, or just helping someone speak up, I know how to make things (and people) shine..quietly, from the background.
