Exploring the intersection of technology, creativity, and human connection. As an engineering student, I’m fascinated by how innovation can solve real-world challenges — especially in the fields of sustainability and design. Organizing TEDx Ayete has shown me the incredible power of ideas and the importance of giving people a platform to share their stories. Outside of academics and organizing, I’m passionate about movement, adventure, and the sea. I love sailing, running, and playing all kinds of sports — especially football, which I follow with real enthusiasm. The ocean is more than just a place I love; it’s a source of inspiration, freedom, and clarity. Whether I’m designing a project, coordinating a TEDx talk, or navigating waves, I’m always looking for new ways to grow, connect, and contribute to something meaningful.

Engineering isn’t just about solving problems — it’s about imagining better futures. Creativity and technology together can redefine how we live, move, and connect.

At my student residence, we have a day dedicated to clubs where we get together to share hobbies. I’ve always been part of “TED and Beer,” a club where we watch TED Talks and then discuss what we’ve learned over snacks and a few beers. What started as a casual hangout with friends turned into something bigger — one day, a few of us thought, what if we organized our own TEDx? And just like that, from an idea tossed around between laughs, TEDxAyete was born. Now, we’re a team of students bringing ideas worth spreading to our city.

Keeping my cool when everything’s falling apart — unless my football team is losing, then all bets are off. I can MacGyver a fix with duct tape and hope, organize a TEDx event while running on coffee and adrenaline, and somehow still remember where I left my sailing gloves. Also surprisingly good at pretending I’m not competitive… until there’s a ball involved.
