Bio
I’m Sevinch Mavlonova, a freshman student majoring in Cybersecurity at New Uzbekistan University (NewUU). My academic journey is complemented by a deep passion for artificial intelligence, technology, and community-driven initiatives. As the founder and organizer of TEDxNewUU, my goal is to foster a platform that encourages the exchange of innovative ideas and inspires both students and professionals to think beyond the conventional. I believe that sharing transformative ideas is not just a way to learn but a way to ignite meaningful change in our society.
Apart from my academic pursuits, I am also a professional chess player and hold a black belt in Taekwondo. These experiences have taught me discipline, strategy, and the value of leadership—skills I now bring to my role as TEDxNewUU organizer. Through the TEDx platform, I have been able to create a space for students at NewUU to share their ideas, network with experts, and engage in thought-provoking discussions.
In addition to organizing events, I am an active participant in various public speaking engagements and have hosted several high-profile events. My experience on camera and in front of audiences has allowed me to hone my communication skills and connect with a wide range of people. My blog, which I run on Instagram —allowing me to further connect with my audience and share my passion for education.
Ultimately, I believe that ideas, when shared, have the power to transform minds and inspire action. TEDxNewUU has become a space where these ideas can thrive, and I am committed to expanding its reach, involving more students, and continuing to promote a culture of innovation, creativity, and intellectual growth.
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about spreading the message that every idea, no matter how small, has the potential to change the world. With technology, creativity, and determination, we can make a lasting impact that benefits future generations.
An idea worth spreading
The idea I am most passionate about is the intersection of technology and human potential. With the rapid development of AI, machine learning, and digital transformation, we are at a pivotal moment in history. I believe we have the opportunity to shape the future in ways that benefit all sectors of society. AI should not be a tool that simply serves a few—it should be a catalyst for global change, helping to solve pressing issues like climate change, gender inequality, and access to education.
In my own journey, I have seen firsthand how sharing knowledge can transform lives. TEDxNewUU exemplifies this idea—students, professors, and professionals come together to share ideas that might just inspire the next breakthrough.
The TED story
My TED journey began as a speaker, where I first had the opportunity to share my ideas with an eager audience. I remember the excitement and nervousness that came with standing on the TEDx stage, knowing that my words could inspire, provoke thought, and challenge the way people think. The experience was not just about speaking, but about connecting with others, engaging in powerful conversations, and feeling the energy of like-minded individuals who were equally passionate about making a difference.
After that event, I was hooked. The impact of TED’s mission—“Ideas Worth Spreading”—resonated with me deeply, and I realized that I wanted to be part of something larger. The following year, I became a curator for TEDxNewUU, and this role provided me with the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of organizing and facilitating these transformative events. As a curator, I gained invaluable insight into the logistical side of TEDx events and learned how to bring together speakers, volunteers, and partners to create an environment where ideas could flourish.
Driven by my passion for spreading inspiring and groundbreaking ideas, I eventually took on the role of organizer. As the organizer of TEDxNewUU, I became responsible for shaping the entire event experience—from the theme to the selection of speakers, from managing the team to ensuring every detail aligned with TED’s high standards. This position has allowed me to combine my leadership, public speaking, and event management skills, all while staying true to the core of TEDx: providing a platform for diverse voices and empowering people to share ideas that have the potential to change the world.
Throughout this journey, TEDx has not only allowed me to grow professionally but has also given me a community of passionate individuals who share my love for innovation, creativity, and knowledge. Every TEDx event I’ve been part of has been a reminder of the power of ideas and how they can spark real-world change. Now, as a TEDx organizer, I am more determined than ever to create opportunities for others to share their stories, their visions, and their solutions with the world.
