Early Life and Education
From a young age, I developed a passion for language, literature, and the power of words to shape ideas and emotions. Growing up in a diverse, multicultural community, I was exposed to various languages, which sparked a deep interest in how language functions as a tool for communication, connection, and understanding.
I pursued an undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature at Uludag University, where I delved into the works of literary giants, exploring themes, styles, and cultural contexts. This academic journey deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of the English language, from its grammatical complexities to its capacity for storytelling. During studies, I was actively involved in student teaching programs and educational workshops, gaining early insights into the world of teaching.
With a growing interest in pedagogy and language acquisition, I furthered my education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in English Language Teaching (ELT). I was particularly drawn to research on effective methodologies for teaching English as a second language (ESL), discovering the importance of student-centered learning, communicative approaches, and technology integration in the classroom.
Teaching Philosophy
Guided by the belief that every student can succeed in mastering a language with the right support and encouragement, I have developed a teaching philosophy centered on inclusivity, engagement, and personal growth. I view the English classroom as a space where students not only learn the mechanics of the language but also develop critical thinking skills, empathy, and confidence in self-expression.
I emphasize creating an environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with language, making mistakes, and learning from them. I employ a communicative approach, prioritizing real-world language use over rote memorization. By incorporating diverse materials—including literature, media, and digital content—I ensures that lessons are relatable and meaningful, catering to various learning styles and cultural backgrounds.

The Power of Language to Build Empathy
Language is more than words; it's a doorway to understanding different cultures, perspectives, and human experiences. By learning languages, we break down barriers, promote inclusivity, and build a more empathetic world.
