Bio
I am Owolabi Ayodeji Prince, a Nigerian photographer who has been behind the lens since 2019.
What started as curiosity has grown into a calling that keeps me grounded and grateful. I use the
camera to capture moments that speak of culture, love, grit and resilience, the kind of memories that outlive the moment itself. And over the past six years, photography has taken me across
Nigeria, documenting weddings, events, portraits and everyday stories. I also work as an
Associate Photographer with Bedge Pictures, an internationally recognized, award-winning brand
where I get to tell love stories that cross borders.
Beyond the camera, I’m big on community. That’s what led me to joining TED nad even starting my own creative community which is the ABU Creatives Connect, a
space for young creatives to grow, learn, collaborate, connect and share their art. It’s a
community that help creatives turn passion into something sustainable while building real
connections that last. For me, photography is about understanding people, preserving their
stories and making them feel truly seen.
I'm passionate about
I'm passionate about inspiring people and leading change wherever I find myself. A lot of times I find myself questioning why things are done the way they are and what could be done to make them better, I find myself challenging systems and circumstances that parry the process of growth around me. I find expression through creativity in my craft and Profession and I use it as a tool to be am advocate for that change where ever I find myself.
An idea worth spreading
Life long learning. A lot of people believe that a point comes in life where the learning stops and you're just gliding on pre existing knowledge till the day you die but thats not the case, consciously and unconsciously we learn every day and this knowledge builds the life that we live and experience up until the day we die. Consciousness of this facts helps you understand that you can make a decision to obtain knowledge and build habits that sets the trend of your life for the better and even to those around you in extension. This causes a ripple effect, ushering us into a world where everyone is positively evolving, though not ideal in the real world, but it positions us for better experiences and all round progress.

The TED story
I joined a Volunteer team for a TEDx event that was being organised on my school campus out of curiosity and wanting to be part of something that was bigger than myself. It was a wonderful experience working with the team and seeing the event become a sensation in that campus. It inspired me to do and learn more about TED which lead me to working with the team towards their next TEDx event and now i just want to be more involved in the TED global space and community.
