Embarking on a thrilling academic journey, I am currently pursuing a Bachelors Of Sccience with a Double Major in honours of Computer Science and Communications, accompanied by a Minor in Business Management, set to graduate in 2027. Understanding and Enhancing Social Interactions and Language Nuances: I am deeply intrigued by the complexities of human interactions and the subtleties of language. My interest in social dynamics and communication drives me to explore and improve how people connect, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships. Innovating Solutions to Tackle Global Issues Such as Food Waste: Addressing global challenges through technology is a core passion of mine. I am committed to finding and implementing innovative solutions to reduce food waste, improve sustainability, and create a positive impact on our world. Imagine standing at the threshold of a new beginning, filled with both excitement and hesitation. That was me, a transfer student stepping into the unfamiliar halls of Wilfrid Laurier University. I understood the apprehension of starting anew, having experienced it firsthand. But it was this very feeling that ignited a passion within me to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for others. My journey began with a deep-seated interest in understanding social interactions and language nuances, especially in relationships. This curiosity fueled my involvement in various student groups, where I honed my communication skills and developed a knack for leadership. My roles as IR Manager and EP Manager at AIESEC in TMU were pivotal, shaping my ability to manage teams and events effectively. At TRCSA, I poured my heart into planning and managing events, and it wasn't long before my dedication was recognized. I was promoted to Executive Vice President, a role that came with its own set of challenges and opportunities. This position allowed me to leverage my advanced proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Google Slides, and Canva, driving innovation in our projects and initiatives. While my academic and professional journey was rewarding, a pivotal moment came when I witnessed significant food waste at a large Canadian company and at my university. This sparked a new mission: to reduce or stop food waste through technology. Together with my dedicated team members,we embarked on a project to tackle this pressing issue. Our diverse backgrounds in Computer Science, Economics, and Math provided a unique blend of perspectives and skills, driving us towards innovative solutions. Throughout my journey, one thing remained constant: the importance of creating a sense of belonging. I wanted to ensure that every new student at Laurier felt the same welcoming embrace that I did. This led me to actively engage in initiatives aimed at fostering inclusivity and support within our community. Today, as I stand before you, I am driven by the desire to make a difference, not just in my immediate environment but on a larger scale. My interest in economic concepts and my passion for technology fuel my vision for a future where we can solve complex problems like food waste efficiently and sustainably.
