Jason Lear

With over 20 years of experience in both private and non-profit education settings, my journey has been incredibly rewarding. As an associate tutor and consultant, I bring together my background in sports performance analysis, adult education, and behaviour analysis to create high-performing and inclusive learning and business environments. My main interests are in competency-based education, special education, workforce preparation, and bridging the gap between curriculum and professional practice. My ultimate goal is to integrate engaging teaching and learning strategies that transitions the knowledge and skills into real-world applications. Throughout my career, I've also embraced opportunities to share my insights and experiences on various platforms. I've spoken on a wide range of topics, from “Performance Development” at the Elite Sports Performance Expo in 2015 to "Conversing with the Future in the Age of AI" at the AdviceNI Annual AGM (2023) and the Women in Construction Summit (2024). These speaking engagements have allowed me to contribute to important conversations on technology, AI, and education and its implications for the future. Currently, I am involved in developing digital skills and digital transformation training for adult training programs and supporting employers and staff through workshops and consulting services. I am passionate about supporting educators, organisations and business leaders in realising the potential of implementing a digital strategy with real purpose and seize the opportunities it presents . In the fast-paced world of AI, I have the privilege of leading workshops and coaching people on how to embed tools such as ChatGPT and other AI or educational technologies to improve workflows and save time. These programmes are tailored for educators, business professionals, and Leaders, aiming to unleash the potential of AI in various domians. I have used technology to augment my workflows for over 10 years and passionate about sharing knowledge on innovative ways we can enhance our and the performance of others with the aid of technology. In addition to my educational work, I co-produce and co-host the Pecha Kucha Podcast, where we explore the intersection of business, technology, education, and society with experts and thought leaders. My journey is fuelled by my passion for education and technology, and my belief in the power of knowledge-sharing to make a difference in the world. I am dedicated to this mission and excited to continue learning, sharing, and inspiring others along the way.
