About Kim

Bio

I’m an Emmy-award winning producer and yoga-meditation teacher. I recently started ganeshspace, a wellness platform that creates radical inclusivity through mindfulness techniques, tools and practices. I’m a queer, Asian woman, and a proud kid of Vietnamese war refugees. I created ganeshspace with the mission to transform feelings of marginalization into worthiness and belonging. Through gatherings, discussions and workshops, our community practices using our breath to connect more compassionately with themselves and others, even when challenged with a different point of view. I’ve spent my career elevating marginalized voices, winning an Emmy profiling DACA students who were at risk of getting deported after Trump got elected. I’ve produced video for MTV, Discovery, TLC and Animal Planet; I’m currently producing for TED’s Audience Development team and SEIU’s efforts with the Democratic Presidential candidates. I’ve written for FORTUNE, USA Today and the Associated Press, among others, when print was still a thing. And dove into digital content creation when everyone thought it was a joke. I believe fiercely in the power of storytelling, understanding your body and being unapologetically yourself. And that we can change the world, one breath at a time.
