Kunal Sharma is a passionate Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning engineer from Delhi, India, dedicated to leveraging technology for impactful innovation. A B.Tech AI & ML student at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (2022-2026), he has worked on cutting-edge projects in AI-driven healthcare, cybersecurity, and automation.
With expertise in Python, TensorFlow, OpenCV, and cloud computing, Kunal has developed solutions like real-time facial recognition systems, AI-based medical diagnostics, and cybersecurity threat detection models. His work in Brain Tumor Detection and AI-powered DDoS Protection has demonstrated the transformative power of machine learning in real-world problem-solving.

From a young age, I have been fascinated by the power of technology to transform lives. My journey in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning began with a simple curiosity—how can machines think, learn, and solve problems like humans? This curiosity turned into a mission to create impactful AI solutions that address real-world challenges. Over time, my passion for technology grew into a broader vision of how innovation can solve complex societal problems.
Throughout my B.Tech in AI & ML at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, I’ve had the privilege to work on cutting-edge projects that bridge the gap between theory and practice. From AI-powered medical diagnostics and cybersecurity threat detection to real-time automation systems, I’ve dedicated myself to solving real-world problems using AI and ML. My experience has not only been limited to coding and algorithms but also to collaborating with like-minded individuals, winning hackathons, mentoring aspiring engineers, and striving for excellence in all that I do.
But my story doesn’t end there—it is about the spirit of innovation, perseverance, and leadership. As the President of the Society of Industrial Exposure (SIE), I’ve worked relentlessly to bring the industry closer to academia. I’ve always believed in learning by doing, and by bridging that gap, I’ve helped students gain real-world exposure and the skills needed to excel in today’s rapidly evolving tech world.
In my journey, there was always a lingering desire to do something big, something impactful. So, when the opportunity arose to organize a TEDx event at my college, I realized that there could be no better way to bring people together and inspire them. Having watched TEDx and TED talks since my school days, I was always fascinated by the ideas and innovations shared on that stage. The thought of contributing to this platform in my college was nothing short of thrilling. I dove into extensive research on how to organize a TEDx event, and after overcoming numerous challenges, I successfully brought TEDx to my college.
The appreciation I received from my college for bringing such an extraordinary event to the campus was overwhelming. It wasn’t just about the event; it was about the positive impact it had on the college community. The feedback and recognition I received have inspired me to take on even more such initiatives. Organizing TEDx not only helped me grow as a leader but also reaffirmed my belief that with passion, hard work, and determination, one can bring about meaningful change.
Standing on the TEDx stage is a huge milestone in my journey—one that signifies the fusion of my academic, professional, and personal aspirations. It’s not just a moment to reflect on the past, but a chance to inspire others, share my insights, and prove that technology, when used responsibly, can create a better world. My TEDx talk will be a reflection of everything I stand for—my passion for AI, my commitment to innovation, and my vision for a future where technology empowers us to solve the world’s greatest challenges.
