Bio

I am Yousef, a 21 year old ambitious young man studying Digital Marketing at the Hashemite University in Jordan. I have an unwavering passion for marketing and training, and I work as a freelance marketer with individuals and agencies. I believe that the power of marketing lies in its ability to connect with people and leave a positive impact on their lives. Since 2014, I have been involved in community work in Zarqa Governorate, where I discovered my passion for working with non-profit organizations focused on improving the lives of less fortunate individuals. This experience has instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility and the importance of giving back to the community. I believe in the power of exchanging ideas and the significance of constructive dialogue, which led me to participate in a TEDx conference in Jordan. I am always striving to be a voice for the youth, aiming to empower my peers and inspire them to become leaders in their fields and active contributors to society.

The TED story

My journey with TED began when I was the marketing coordinator for the TEDx Shmeisani conference. This unique experience broadened my horizons and increased my awareness, as well as provided me with new practical experience in my professional life. During the preparation phase for the conference's marketing strategy, I had a clear goal: to implement one of the most important marketing methods, which is "word-of-mouth marketing," where people talk about the brand and exchange views about it. I focused my efforts on achieving this goal within my university community, and I succeeded in seeing a significant number of students mention the name TEDx Shmeisani and increase their awareness of what TEDx is in general and what TEDx Shmeisani represents specifically. This success inspired me to organize TEDx at my university, Hashemite University, where I observed a great interest among students in this initiative. After considerable effort, I managed to obtain the TEDx Hashemite University license, and I am now in the planning and preparation stage to execute this event in the heart of the university and my community.
