Educator/Teacher

Bio

I am an educator, innovator, and lifelong learner passionate about empowering young voices to think critically, create boldly, and speak confidently. With nearly a decade of experience teaching in British curriculum schools across the UAE, I work closely with KS3 and KS4 students, helping them connect classroom learning with real-world purpose. As a licensed TEDx organizer and TED-Ed Student Talks leader, I create platforms that amplify student ideas and inspire meaningful dialogue. My work focuses on blending education with creativity, sustainability, and the ethical use of AI to prepare learners for the future. I believe that small steps can create a big impact, and through every project, I aim to cultivate curiosity, compassion, and confidence in the next generation of changemakers.

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about empowering young people to discover their voice, embrace their potential, and create meaningful impact in the world. I believe that every student has the ability to think critically, innovate boldly, and act responsibly when given guidance, opportunity, and encouragement. As an educator and TEDx organizer, I am driven by the joy of seeing students step beyond their comfort zones, explore new ideas, and express themselves confidently. I am passionate about blending education with creativity, sustainability, and technology, especially AI, to prepare learners not just for exams, but for life. I am deeply committed to creating learning environments where curiosity is celebrated, mistakes are embraced as learning opportunities, and students are inspired to take meaningful action. My passion lies in nurturing changemakers who will shape a better, more compassionate, and innovative future.

An idea worth spreading

I believe that education is far more than a system of examinations, curricula, and classrooms. It is the central hub from which human potential radiates, shaping not just minds, but the future of societies and the world. In the 21st century, where technology, innovation, and sustainability are no longer optional but essential, education has the unique power and responsibility to accelerate progress across every field. It is within the classrooms, guided by inspired teachers and curious students, that ideas are born, refined, and transformed into tangible solutions that can address the pressing challenges of our time. Over the past decade, I have devoted myself to understanding how education can bridge knowledge with action, theory with innovation, and curiosity with impact. Working with KS3 and KS4 students in British curriculum schools across the UAE, I have seen firsthand how even small, intentional changes in teaching methods can spark profound shifts in students’ thinking. When students are encouraged not only to absorb information but to question, experiment, and create, they begin to see themselves not as passive recipients of knowledge but as active contributors to a rapidly evolving world. Education is the most fertile ground for fostering innovation. Every invention, every scientific breakthrough, and every technological leap starts with a mind that has been nurtured to imagine beyond boundaries. Classrooms that integrate project-based learning, collaborative problem-solving, and interdisciplinary approaches give students the confidence to experiment without fear of failure. They learn that mistakes are not setbacks but opportunities for discovery. In my own teaching practice, I have implemented activities that merge geography, technology, and sustainability, enabling students to design solutions for real-world challenges such as urban planning, climate adaptation, and renewable energy. These experiences demonstrate that when education is positioned as an incubator for innovation, it produces thinkers and doers who are ready to contribute meaningfully to society. Sustainability is another area where education serves as a transformative hub. Our students are the future custodians of the planet, and the decisions they make today will shape the world they inherit tomorrow. By embedding sustainability into the curriculum — not as an abstract concept but as a practical, actionable framework, we can empower students to think critically about environmental, social, and economic challenges. In my classrooms, I encourage students to explore sustainable development through research projects, community initiatives, and debates that challenge them to consider the impact of their choices. They learn that sustainability is not a distant goal but a daily practice, one that intersects with technology, policy, and personal responsibility. By connecting sustainability with innovation, students begin to see that solutions to pressing environmental problems often emerge from creative, interdisciplinary thinking nurtured in educational spaces. Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping every aspect of our lives, from healthcare and transportation to communication and entertainment. Yet, without thoughtful guidance, AI can be misunderstood, misused, or underutilized. Education provides the ideal context for students to engage with AI ethically and creatively. When students are introduced to AI not as a tool to replace human thought but as a collaborator to augment human potential, they gain a nuanced understanding of its capabilities and limitations. In my teaching, I have incorporated AI-driven projects that encourage students to analyze data, model outcomes, and design intelligent solutions to real problems. By integrating AI into learning experiences, students not only acquire technical skills but also develop critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities that are essential for leadership in a technologically advanced society. The synergy between innovation, sustainability, and AI underscores the pivotal role of education as a hub for accelerating progress. Education is not merely about preparing students to fit into the existing world; it is about equipping them to reshape it. When students engage in interdisciplinary projects, explore emerging technologies, and confront complex global challenges, they learn to think systemically, act ethically, and innovate responsibly. They learn to see the interconnectedness of issues: how an AI-driven solution can enhance sustainability efforts, how creative problem-solving can address climate change, or how collaborative innovation can transform communities. This holistic, forward-thinking approach positions education as the central catalyst for meaningful change.

The TED story

My journey with TED began with a simple observation: the spark of curiosity, confidence, and passion in my students. I noticed their eagerness to express themselves, to share ideas, and to speak with conviction. That first response, that initial glimpse of their courage and potential, inspired me to create a platform where their voices could truly shine. It started small, with classroom discussions and projects, but soon evolved into a full-fledged TED-Ed Student Talks event. Watching my students step onto the stage, confidently articulate their thoughts, and share their ideas with peers, teachers, and the wider community was profoundly moving. The joy, pride, and amazement on the faces of parents as they saw their children speak with confidence and purpose made me realize the true power of education: it transforms not only knowledge, but character, courage, and self-belief. Seeing the impact on my students, how their confidence grew, how their curiosity expanded, and how their ideas inspired others , inspired me to take the next bold step. I applied to become a TEDx organizer, driven by the vision of creating an even larger platform for youth voices. I wanted to amplify the spark I had observed in my students, to connect them to a global community of thinkers, innovators, and changemakers, and to show the world that young voices matter. Being part of TED has been a journey of pride, learning, and inspiration. It is not just about organizing events , it is about witnessing transformation. Every talk, every story, every idea shared is a testament to the limitless potential within young minds. The opportunity to guide students, to help them find their voice, and to see them shine on stage has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. It has reinforced my belief that education, creativity, and courage are the keys to a better future, and that the TED platform provides the opportunity to make it happen.

Things you might not know

People don’t always know that I am good at seeing patterns and connecting ideas across different fields. I have a natural ability to identify opportunities, spot potential in projects, and link creativity, technology, and strategy in ways that others might overlook. This skill allows me to anticipate challenges, design innovative solutions, and help projects succeed in ways that feel seamless but are carefully orchestrated behind the scenes.
