Bio

I'm a researcher and educator exploring how language shapes human interaction. I study how the relationship between speaker and audience influences the way we speak, and I help university students strengthen their communication skills to better express ideas, think critically, and engage with the world. Whether in the lab, the classroom, or the wider community, my goal is to uncover how language transforms our world and inspire others to harness its power for positive impact.

I'm passionate about

Uncovering how language works, why we understand each other, and what happens in our minds during communication.

An idea worth spreading

Communication is not static, it’s adaptive.

Areas of expertise

Academic Literacy in Higher Education, Effective Communication, Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Speech Variability

The TED story

My TED story began in high school when I first discovered TED Talks on Facebook. I was captivated by the various topics and how these talks connected me to ideas from around the world. During my university years, TED became a source of inspiration and a gateway to understanding global challenges, exploring the human mind, and discovering innovative perspectives across countless fields. As I began teaching communication skills to university students, I saw TED as more than just a source of knowledge; it was a powerful tool for teaching. I introduced the TED talk format into my classes, encouraging students to embrace its dynamic and impactful style. Watching them develop their skills and grow as communicators reinforced my belief in the power of sharing ideas to transform how we connect and inspire each other.
