I was born in Tijuana, México on May 27th, 1997. Ever since I was very young, I have been encouraged to participate in helping to build a better community. The first steps I took in this direction were in the Scout organization, where I was an active member, participating in several fundraisers to benefit the less fortunate and helping to reforest some areas of my city. Then, I got involved with another organization called AMXM, that seeks to vanish the negative female gender roles by inviting powerful women to give speeches and share experiences to inspire others. I used to be in charge of making posters for every speaker and publishing them on the internet. I later started helping to organize shoes and clothing drives for the less fortunate during the winter at Rotary International. I am currently helping out two groups of the club, the Rotarian Ladies and the Rotarian Youth. In 2012, when I was about 15 years old, I volunteered in Tijuana Innovadora with the binational team. Here, I used to give free tours of CECUT (the cultural center of the city) to American businessmen, explaining the importance of both Tijuana and the event itself. I later joined their leadership program and became more involved in the organization, which led to me being offered the position as the staff manager of the binational team in 2014. I was in charge of the American Pavilion and all the volunteers that helped there. I am currently studying my senior year of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at CETYS Universidad Campus Tijuana, and I plan to pursue a degree in Industrial Engineering.

I am passionate about helping others, and make better/ stronger communities.

An idea worth spreading is the crucial importance of Tijuana. Most people around the globe think it is not a safe place to live or travel, that the citizens are not polite and they are mostly criminals etc. Tijuana is a very important city, because it is strong in different aspects, first of all, the people that live in the city are very hardworking people that came from different parts of Mexico and the world, it is also known for having lots of assembly plants, that export millions of products worldwide. Tijuana's culture is different from any other Mexican city, and the reason why is because every day of the year the contrast of all the different cultures there creates a positive atmosphere, this city has everything, arts, science, social activities, culinary potential, innovation, and is one of the most important frontiers to cross to U.S.

Design, event planing & organizing, Teamwork and Leadership

In my sophomore year of High School, I was currently searching for more ways to get involved with the school community, in order to find students that had interests like mine. I heard that some students of my school were preparing a TEDx event, and the theme was citizens 2.0. I was really interested on the topic, and I really wanted to go in order to learn more about it and start my initiative. So I applied and got selected. I really enjoyed every topic each speaker had, I learned so much about how to be a better citizen, and the importance of it. Later on I spoke to a friend that volunteered as a staff member at the event, and we both agreed to make another TEDx in senior year.

People don't know I am good at spotting good qualities in others, and I am very creative in unexpected times.
