Bio
Hi! My name is Harshith Chinni, and I am an IB Year 1 student taking HL Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Economics studying at an international school in Singapore. My hobbies are varied and I enjoy reading up on sciences, playing basketball, skateboarding, and taking photos of sunsets! I found TED to be something really interesting as it allows everyday individuals to speak about something that holds importance to them and their community. Without TED, they might not have had the opportunity to freely express their ideas and share it with the world.
I'm passionate about
Debating, Model UN, Skateboarding, Researching about Science and History, and Reading Economics
An idea worth spreading
I believe that an idea worth spreading is medical advancement. Seeing many lives lost due to diseases such as cancer is heartbreaking and tears apart families emotionally, placing an irremediable hole in their hearts. On top of that, current treatments are expensive and inaccessible and cost an arm and leg for multiple families, especially those from low socio-economic backgrounds. Having experienced my grandfather passing away due to a lack of advanced medical technology in his town, I believe that medical advancement should not only be versatile but easily accessible and cheap. This can only be done if more people are interested in medicine and more money is invested into research and development
