I'm passionate about

I'm passionate about exploring the intersections of mathematics, literature, and art. Writing has allowed me to express complex mathematical ideas through stories, making them more accessible and engaging. This unique blend of disciplines highlights the creativity inherent in mathematics and opens up new avenues for innovation. By encouraging people to explore these intersections, I aim to break down the barriers between 'hard' and 'soft' sciences, fostering a more holistic understanding of the world around us.

An idea worth spreading

Empathy in education is an idea worth spreading. As a math professor and book author, I've seen firsthand the transformational impact of empathetic teaching methods. It's not just about conveying information; it's about connecting with students on a personal level, understanding their challenges, and adapting the learning experience to make it more inclusive and effective. This approach not only enhances learning outcomes but also fosters a supportive community where every student feels valued and motivated.

The TED story

My TED story is one of inspiration turning into action. It all started with a TED Talk video that popped up in my recommendations one lazy afternoon. The speaker’s passion, the depth of the idea shared, and the impact it had on the audience struck a chord with me. This experience sparked a realization within me: I wanted to be more than just a spectator; I wanted to facilitate these conversations, to bring them to my community. This led me to take the leap and apply to become a co-organizer for a local TEDx event. The journey has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to merge my love for teaching and literature with a platform that celebrates ideas and innovation.

People don't know I'm good at

People often don't know that I'm an avid gardener. The patience and attention to detail required in gardening mirror the meticulous nature of mathematical research and writing. Gardening is not only a meditative escape for me but also a source of inspiration. The patterns, symmetry, and randomness found in nature often find their way into my lectures and writings, illustrating the profound connection between mathematics and the natural world.
