Bio
Waleed Bin Osama was born on 16th of November 2001 in Lahore. He grew up to be a person who wants to do great things in life and leave an impact on the people around him. He is deeply affected by any negative thoughts of people about him, so he always tries to keep the perfect relation with anyone he meets. He is a perfectionist. His thought process is optimistic. He can adapt to situations really quickly. These all attributes in him are due to his active participation in sports as well as his passion to deal with challenging situations. Waleed is always looking for opportunities for grabs. He would want to develop a freelance project for his client, setup and run a stall on a mega event, and manage a sports business, all at the same time. This was the prime reason for Waleed to join AIESEC; he wanted to get the maximum exposure from everywhere he can. With no doubt he can say that this has been the biggest learning curve in his life that he will always take with him wherever he goes. AIESEC has allowed him to ignite the passion within and experience the best version of himself.
I'm passionate about
Waleed is always looking for opportunities for grabs. He would want to develop a freelance project for his client, setup and run a stall on a mega event, and manage a travel startup, all at the same time. This makes me very clear in my mindset that I want to run a buiness of my own in the long run. The niche will be anything or everything that interests me. This factor of versatility, reflects my belief in the mantra "own race, own pace." It communicates my understanding that everyone's path, goals, and work ethic are unique. You never have to compare yourself to one another to get to the top neither you have to follow the footsteps of someone to achieve something. You do your best and leave the reward to the superior being. Furthermore what drives me the most is the art of giving back to the community. It shows that I'm not just looking to succeed by myself but also want to help others do well which can be done in any form possible.
An idea worth spreading
Startups beyond their comfort zone: This talk will be centred around the businesses who established themselves in very unpopular niches over the period of last 3 to 5 years. Why they took this decision, what was their vision that drove them throughout, what difficulties they faced and how they overcame them, why did they not shut down in covid when several other businesses did, and ultimately how to get out of your comfort zone and navigate through severe challenges to do something extraordinary of this sort.
The idea is to navigate the fears of the young entrepreneurial mindset into creative ideas that will lead them to make a change in this World. By having a first hand experienced speaker on this subject, the thoughts of the students can be provoked to take this talk as a role model and to get out of the ordinary to do something that the World will remember.
