About Beth

Bio

Beth Viner is a leader of BCG X, Boston Consulting Group’s tech, design and business build unit, where she leads BCG X Ventures + Business Build globally and previously led BCG Digital Ventures, the predecessor to BCG X. She is also a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions and Consumer practices, chairs DEI efforts for BCG X globally, and BCG’s Audit & Risk Committee. At her core, she is a design leader who brings expertise in product and service innovation, experience design and technology with a deep passion for multidisciplinary teaming and advancing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) through the businesses she builds. Viner’s recent work focuses on capturing new growth for clients by leveraging their strategic assets to launch new business lines, business units and the occasional newco. She has led several companies in defining and building their future. Prior to joining BCG in 2018, she was deeply involved in the startup ecosystem as the general manager of Kickstarter, led Interbrand, and spent almost a decade at IDEO as they scaled and navigated expansive growth. Viner is on the boards of American Documentary/POV and Marketplace (part of APM). She has a fearsome 5-year old daughter- Billie, a wily havadoodle- Willie (note: Billie is not named after Willie; she’s named after Viner’s grandmother and Willie is, of course, named after Willie Nelson), lives in New York City always in sneakers and with her sunglasses atop her head rain or shine.
