Bio
I’m Abhaya Acharya, a medical student with a passion for bridging gaps in healthcare, education, and community empowerment. Growing up in Nepal, surrounded by the resilience of the mountains and the stories of its people, I learned the value of persistence, curiosity, and hard work. From trekking through rugged terrains to engaging with underserved communities, I’ve always been driven to explore how small efforts can create big impacts.
Currently, I serve as the Chief Editor of AMSA International’s eNewsletter and the Assistant NOME at NMSS Nepal, roles that allow me to foster collaboration, spark conversations, and inspire meaningful change within the medical and educational fields. I’ve had the privilege of representing Nepal on global platforms like the AMEE Student Task Force and as a delegate at the Open Education Conference, experiences that taught me the power of collective learning and innovative ideas.
Beyond academics—where I’ve been fortunate to excel as a medicaI student- find joy in cricket, football, movies, trekking, and storytelling. These passions keep me grounded and connected to the people and places that shape who I am.
Through my work, I strive to bring voices together, share stories that matter, and ignite a spark for growth in communities, students, and changemakers. Every step I take, whether organizing campaigns, moderating sessions, or leading initiatives, is fueled by a belief: small actions, when consistent, can transform lives.
