I am a business professional carrying over 10 years of experience in developing and implementing growth strategies across several industries including: Advertising, Shipping, Petroleum, Logistics and Trading. I am also an active lecturer and podcaster. I have been involved as a Co Curator for TEDxColombo and Co Organizer of TEDxYouth@Colombo since 2015. I consider myself as a "Jack of All trades" with knowledge and experience in several fields including: Finance, Sales, Marketing, Technology and Events. I have been particularly interested in the integration of AI in the workplace and developing he best human + AI fit for productivity and growth. I recently started a podcast called “Work In Progress” to discuss ideas around personal growth. I also recently started consulting- in particularly helping SMEs in Sri Lanka grow. My passion lies in helping people and organizations grow. I am inspired by the untapped human potential and discovering what we are truly capable of.

TEDxColombo has a long and interesting history. It was started in 2010 by a teenager who was also the person who introduced me to TED and TEDx. I joined the TEDxColombo team in 2015 and since then we have come a long way. Our events have grown from 100 to 500 to 700 to 1000 person events. We have also hosted several other events such as TEDxYouth@Colombo, TEDxColomboLive, TED Women and even TEDx South Asia Organizers workshops. The TEDx platform in Sri Lanka has become the go-to platform for individuals doing amazing work in Sri Lanka to express their ideas on a global scale. It makes me really proud to have helped develop a stage which has showcased ideas that have brought attention to several pertinent issues in our community. I feel proud to say that we have been able to spark change in many areas by giving a stronger voice and wider reach to our local speakers. We have been able to bring about transformation in: politics, national waste management, education, product design engineering and behavioral consciousness amongst many other areas. It makes me proud that our events and work has been highlighted by TED o several occasions. It excites me to create inspiration. Afterall inspiration is what sparks change. We always strive to create a unique event experience for participants so they leave inspired. Being involved with TEDx for over 9 years has helped me understand different perspectives and people better from meeting a wide plethora of people and listening to their stories. What drives me is knowing that my work contributes towards giving a voice and reach to ideas that create positive impact in my community, country and at times beyond.
