Bio

Caracas, Venezuela, and Jena/Berlin, Germany is where I feel local. Taking scientific facts out of the laboratory, into our daily lives has been my aim throughout my ten years of career experience. I'm a researcher in Developmental Toxicology & Neurobiology in Sweden/Germany. Through different science slams and workshops at Kulturlabor Trial & Error, Berlin and TEDxFSUJena, I have been learning and spreading "how not to get poisoned by our daily routines"; while daydreaming about the Caribbean Sea. Join me and enjoy the ride towards environmentally friendly living, optimizing your habits has never been more charming!

I'm passionate about

Understanding how synthetic chemicals can affect human development.

An idea worth spreading

How synthetic chemicals can affect human development. In TED and TEDx, Developmental Toxicology has been briefly mentioned during the talk "Toxic Baby" and two talks about new ink made from toxicants in water or air. A deeper look into this topic was only done in “Hidden toxins in the fish we eat” and “A personal air quality tracker that lets you know what you're breathing”. In case you want to learn more about this topic, the following two researchers have ideas worth spreading in Developmental Toxicology: Phillipe Grandjean from the Harvard School of Public Health and Frederica Perera from the Columbia Center for Children's Environmental Health.
