Bio

Hi there, my name is Ronak Shakya. I was born and raised in Nepal and have had the honor of combining my professional experience with a strong interest in education and social justice to create a career that crosses several disciplines. I currently work at Johnson & Johnson as an accountant, where I maintain accurate financial records, make sure accounting rules are followed, and support the financial stability of a major player in the global healthcare industry. Career Path As an accountant at Johnson & Johnson, my responsibilities include careful financial management, data analysis, and making sure that our financial procedures comply with legal requirements. My proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic financial planning has improved in my role, which has enabled me to make a valuable contribution to the organization's global healthcare improvement objective. I was employed at Classic Tech as a Regional Manager prior to joining Johnson & Johnson. In this position, my responsibilities included managing regional operations, carrying out business plans, and guaranteeing client pleasure. My time at Classic Tech sharpened my strategic thinking, operational management, and leadership skills, equipping me for the complex problems of the business world. My past also includes working at Star Hospital as a Blood Technician, where I acquired priceless medical experience. In this position, blood tests were performed, blood donations were coordinated, and laboratory results were verified. It was at this place that I truly began to understand the value of healthcare and how it affects people's lives. zeal for learning I have always had a strong interest in education in addition to my work responsibilities. Teaching SAT and IELTS at Global Reach and EDF Jamboree makes me proud. I can impart my knowledge and support students in achieving their academic objectives by teaching. I take a comprehensive approach to teaching, emphasizing not just subject matter competence but also confidence-building and the creation of efficient test-taking techniques. Social Engagement and Documents Involvement in social and blood activism is one of the most satisfying aspects of my existence. For my services to blood drives and social issues, I have received numerous accolades, including entries in the Guinness Book of World Records and the World Book of Records. These accomplishments demonstrate my commitment to changing society for the better. I've coordinated a lot of blood drive events, educational campaigns, and volunteer work as a social activist. My mission is to raise awareness of the value of blood donation and inspire more people to take part in this life-saving activity. By my efforts, I hope to close the gap that exists between blood donors and the underprivileged, so that nobody has to suffer due to lack of available blood. Background in Education My professional and academic experiences are equally varied. I have a solid background in accounting and finance thanks to my completion of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. I also have a bachelor's degree in psychology, which has given me a thorough understanding of decision-making psychology and human behavior. I'm currently working on many bachelor's degrees in order to increase the scope of my knowledge and abilities. Among them are: Bachelor's in Business Studies Bachelor's in Computer Applications Bachelor's in English Bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communication These fields all support my interests both personally and professionally and each offers fresh perspectives. My pursuit of these degrees is a reflection of my dedication to lifelong learning and my faith in the transformative power of education. Individual Values and Prospective Objectives My quest is motivated by a straightforward yet profound philosophy: to use my abilities, talents, and expertise to improve the world. I try to make a significant contribution to society through all of my endeavors, whether they be as a social activist, teacher, or employee in the corporate world. Considering the future, I can't wait to carry on with my educational work, get more involved in social causes, and look into new professional development options. My ultimate objective is to motivate people to pursue their passions, give back to the community, and realize their full potential. In summary In conclusion, my varied interests and passion to making a difference are reflected in my eclectic work and unwavering support of humanitarian causes. I am thrilled about what I have accomplished and pleased of the effect I have made, from my work as an accountant at Johnson & Johnson to my educational activities and social activity. I think we can all make a positive difference in the world if we have passion, tenacity, and a willingness to serve others.

I'm passionate about

I have a strong belief in the transforming potential of multimodal participation, which combines social activity, academic endeavors, and professional experience to build a meaningful and significant existence. My experience has taught me that broadening our interests and skill sets enhances our capacity to both positively impact society and further our own development.

An idea worth spreading

Imagine a society in which people are inspired to experiment across different fields, using their special skills and interests to tackle difficult problems. By working in a variety of sectors, we get a comprehensive awareness of the world, which enables us to connect with different people, innovate, and effect positive change. In today's linked world, flexibility, inventiveness, and empathy are critical traits that are fostered by multifaceted involvement.

The TED story

My tale of passion, tenacity, and a strong belief in the power of ideas is told through my journey to applying for the TEDxBaneshwor license and running the event to a high standard. I saw a chance to provide a platform that, by presenting various viewpoints and creative ideas, could uplift and empower others since I thrive on multifaceted participation. My decision to submit an application for a TEDx license was spurred by being acknowledged for my social activity at a community gathering. I spoke about the value of blood donation, and thereafter, a few people, one of whom had previously spoken at TEDx, encouraged me to think about hosting a TEDx event. They felt that because of my varied experiences—which included working as an accountant at Johnson & Johnson, teaching, and social activism—I was a good fit to organize an event that would unite a variety of viewpoints. This support gave me the push I needed to start the process of applying for a TEDx license. A well-defined goal and an elaborate plan were necessary for the demanding application process. I highlighted the following themes in my goal-setting speech for TEDxBaneshwor: Diverse opinions: My goal was to provide a forum that showcased various viewpoints and opinions. I intended to invite speakers from a variety of disciplines, such as social action, technology, healthcare, and education. Community Engagement: I made a point of stressing how dedicated I was to involving the neighborhood, promoting involvement, and cultivating a feeling of shared responsibility for the occasion. Impactful Ideas: I emphasized the significance of presenting concepts that have the potential to spur action and bring about positive change. This supported my conviction that participation should be broad and that multidisciplinary methods have the capacity to solving complex problems.
