My name is Victoria Wortham. I am an undergraduate student working towards becoming an art therapist. I work full-time, attend school full-time and also serve as the President of the student government at Marylhurst University. I have always been very fond of TED talks. I find almost any one I watch inspiring and thought provoking. I also love planning events and I love Marylhurst, so I figured why not host an event that highlights our awesome community and brings the name of TED a little more to the forefront of our education. I really look forward to this adventure and I'm confident our event will be one to remember.

When you can't make it to TED, bring TED to you. I have always wanted to attend a TED event even just as an audience member. They are inspiring and powerful. I have had many of my professors use TED talks interwoven into their lectures and I've used talks as resources in my research. I just decided to bring TED to me. If I plan the event surely I'll be able to attend and be inspired. Like I said before I am also passionate about my school. I want to highlight the great individuals who teach and lead us, but who also sit beside us in the classrooms then head out to the world to do amazing things. Marylhurst is unique and I want to share that.
