Alina M. Soto is the proud team leader of the TEDxUCCI-2015, 2016 and 2017, hosted in the Cayman Islands, and she had a leading role integrating StoryCorps into the TEDxUCCI-2016 event. Alina attended TEdxBeaconStreet 2015 and 2016, as an adventure catalyst and is organizing an adventure event, building interaction behind the scenes between the event volunteers and speakers. Alina has both Teaching and Business Administration degrees, and after being in the service industry for many years, she is now expanding her horizons in the business administration and investment fields. A participant a team member of the first team that represented UCCI in the CFA challenge research 2014, hosted in Plano, Texas. Alina is also a mentor in the Junior Achievement program of the Cayman Island. Through JA, Alina cares and shares her experience to inspire young people to pursue their dreams. Focusing on her craft skills she started Casa de Soto, a small business which utilizes all that she learned during her first degree which was in Haute-couture. Casa de Soto was created not only as as a showcase for Alina's creativity but also as a vehicle to introduce artisan work and give back to the community via teaching young people to solve their problems by being creative, by using personal skills to create an income, and to express themselves using different mediums. Alina will be offering courses in creativity and art as a part of the Casa de Soto business plan.
