Bio
Chris Beauregard is the Executive Director at the Institute of Space Commerce, where he oversees the implementation of the organization’s vision to accelerate the growth of a commercially viable space economy, ensure a safe and sustainable space environment, and advocate for the advancement of the space sector for the betterment of humankind and the natural world.
Chris is also the Branch Chief of Operational Imperatives at the United States Space Force Headquarters Staff, where he ensures integration of strategic national priorities and future DoD space budgets. He previously held positions at the White House National Space Council where he was the director of commercial space policy, among other roles, and at the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration (SAF/SQ) where he was a policy advisor.
In prior roles, Chris has supported the Space Policy Institute, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, Space Generation Advisory Council, United Launch Alliance, European Space Policy Institute, and Micropropulsion and Nanotechnology Laboratory at George Washington University.
Chris is a graduate of the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs, where he earned a master’s degree in international science and technology policy with a concentration in space policy. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in systems engineering at the Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering. He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina and completed the International Space University Space Studies Program in Space Applications.
