48 years old. Journalist for 25 years, studied Journalism at Babes Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca. Worked for few newspapers and business magazines. Owner of www.bistritabusiness.ro, a regional platform for business news. President of Bistrita Business Club Association, an NGO who is helping, promoting and encouraging young entrepreneurs and businesses. I have experienced organising events during the years, we had quite a few, in different areas, mostly related to business, principles of business, how to start and grow a business etc.

The world is divided in countries, and the countries in regions and communities. How important is then to see my community grow and flourish? Because if we help our community to thrive, and other people will do the same with their communities, probably will witness how a country grows! All the countries! So is about the effort we all do just beside us, in our community. Having that said, how do we help our community? We are trying to do that by setting and promoting examples and models (actions or people) which made a recent positive impact in our area. Do we have to learn from those people? Yes, a lot. So the community must listen and learn and admire and be inspired to do a small positive impact as well.

From what I know, only once, maybe 10 years ago, Bistrita experienced a TED event. I was there, the room was full and I remember the sparks in the eyes of the people attending, most of them young people. And I said to myself, this event is something special, they have to do it again. Never happened, but the idea was in my head. So now, myself and a group of friends, collaborators, partners we would like to offer a second TED event to our community in Bistrita. We can think of a very good lineup of speakers who would inspire, once again, our community, by talking about their experiences, their principles, their struggle on the road to succes. We would be happy to offer more details if asked. For now, our proposal is to organise the event in December 2026, all depending on how long it takes to obtain the TED license needed.
