Zeynep Ton

Zeynep is an operations management professor at MIT Sloan School of Management, the co-founder and president of the nonprofit Good Jobs Institute, and the author of The Case for Good Jobs, How Great Companies Bring Dignity, Pay & Meaning to Everyone’s Work. In her research, teaching, and consulting work, Zeynep focuses on how organizations can design a system that results in good jobs, high productivity, and a great customer experience. Zeynep lives in Cambridge with her husband and four children. A native of Turkey, she first came to the U.S. on a volleyball scholarship from Penn State where she studied Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. She received her D.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and taught there before joining MIT Sloan.

Unglamorous work can fuel good jobs with living wages, dignity, and respect. That's not just good for workers and our society, it's good for companies. But getting there requires seeing interconnectedness in complex systems.
