About Maksym

Bio

I work as a market specialist for a company that produces PVCu windows. While communicating with customers and receiving feedbacks about the company's work from them I have made a conclusion: "The most important thing for people is whether you keep promises you have given”. That is why I try to keep my word, and in case if this is impossible I warn a person in advance and try to find another solution. In the autumn of 2014 I was in charge of a team of 6 people and 5 volunteers. We organized the Forum of business ideas SpeakerFest. An event of such a magnitude was held for the first time in our city. The Forum assembled 400 listeners and 7 speakers (I was one of the speakers).Creative solutions, ideas of promotion and difficulties that I encountered while coordinating people, as well as the usual constituents of the process required for the organization gave me the possibility to gain experience, which I had not yet had. I have recently started running. In 40 days I ran my first half marathon with a fairly good result 1:43:41.

The TED story

I watch TED and TEDx quite often, always find interesting things for myself for professional and personal development. After the organization of the SpeakerFest I took a great interest in the idea of organizing TEDx in my city. In June 2015 I visited my first TEDxIvanoFrankivsk and was amazed by the atmosphere – audience listened with admiration to speakers who shared really interesting ideas. Atmosphere created by the organizers was great. There were a lot of interesting TEDxTalks, of course, some were not so interesting. Especially everyone liked the speaker Sevgil′ Musayeva-Borovik. She talked about the issue which is urgent in our country today: it is the disconnection of the Crimean peninsula and the genocide of the Crimean Tatars, her people. This story really touched the audience: the audience more than a minute applauded standing.
