About Pragna
Bio
I’m Pragna Nidumolu, a high school Junior from Northern Virginia, fueled by an unwavering passion for sustainability and a fierce determination to combat climate change.
My journey led me to establish EcoTeens, a pioneering platform driving social entrepreneurship and sparking transformative change in our world.
As the host of "The Green Stories" podcast, I curate a space that unites voices from across the globe to share inspiring journeys and diverse perspectives on sustainability. It's a platform where collective wisdom ignites actionable steps toward a positive impact on our planet.
Within EcoTeens, I spearhead the Global Youth Sustainability Summit (GYSS), an innovative global forum where thought leaders, experts, and enthusiasts converge. Together, we explore groundbreaking solutions and foster collaboration to steer us toward a more sustainable future.
Beyond environmental advocacy, I collaborate as a Sustainability Promoter and Collaborator ambassador with SPSC, aligning with UN principles and integrating UN SDG targets for a more cohesive and impactful approach.
My dedication extends to the world of classical Indian dance, specifically Kuchipudi, culminating in my Rangapravesam in July 2023—a significant milestone showcasing years of relentless dedication and artistic expression, including the unique feat of painting on cloth while dancing.
As a TEDx performer and speaker, I’ve shared stories and insights. At TEDxAshburn, I portrayed a second-generation protagonist in a dance drama, while at TEDxFreedomHigh, I spoke on "Sustainability Starts With Youth."
I've also had the privilege of being the youngest speaker at the 2023 Agile Alliance global conference, advocating for corporate sustainability with a Gen Z perspective. Collaborating with Agile Practitioners Online SIG and Agiledemics, I've shared experiences on Agile methodologies in education and sustainability.
My commitment extends to serving as a board member for SEWA International - Youth for SEWA DC Chapter, steering social media initiatives aligned with SEWA’s mission of embracing humanity in all its forms.
I’m also honored to be a Young Mensan within American Mensa, fostering connections among exceptional minds within the world's largest high-IQ society.
When I’m not advocating for sustainability or immersed in dance, I relish exploring Washington DC with my incredible family—a supportive unit consisting of my amazing parents and an inspiring brother. Embracing the outdoors, hiking trails, and crafting unforgettable moments with friends are my preferred ways of unwinding and embracing life’s adventures.

The TED story
It all began in 2015 when I attended my first TEDx event—an experience that ignited a fire of intellectual curiosity within me. The speakers' profound insights and diverse perspectives planted a seed of inspiration that grew into a quest for knowledge.
When an opportunity arose to participate in TEDxAshburn, I seized the chance to contribute as a performer. My presentation centered on the transformative power of arts in bridging generational divides—an idea close to my heart, showcasing the potential for art to unite and transcend differences.
This initial experience paved the way for further involvement within the TEDx community. Invited as a speaker at TEDxFreedomHigh, I delivered a talk titled "Sustainability Starts with Youth." It was an opportunity to advocate passionately for the pivotal role of the younger generation in driving sustainable change, aligning with my dedication to environmental activism.
Today, I proudly serve as the president of the TEDx club at my school—a role that allows me to nurture a space where ideas flourish, and voices are amplified. This journey from attendee to performer and speaker has been an enriching one, defining my commitment to sharing ideas worth spreading and empowering others to do the same.
