I'm passionate about

I have lived between Peckham and Camberwell for 25 years with my mum and siblings. Being raised by a single mum, meant that when times were hard, we all had to come together as a team to help each other. As I grew older, that habit grew and I desired to help others as well. I'm passionate about making a mark. When I'm involved with a project at work I want to do my best to achieve success. I feel the same way about what I do in my personal life, which led to me taking on the role as a Magistrate within my local community this year. I also currently volunteer at my church as a Youth Leader for 5 hours every week. This involves running a group session and teaching on relevant subjects that impact the youth of today. As an extension of my youth work, I write a regular blog to inspire people to share their life experiences.

Our truths!

The TED story

My first experience of the TED brand was attending TEDxHouseofParliament to hear my husband, Suli Breaks, speak. I was bowled over by the sheer awesomeness of the concept and the perfection of arrangements but what impressed me, even more, was the overall concept of TED. I love that it was a source of great learning and the fact that it helped broaden my perspective and knowledge.

Things you might not know

Cooking. No seriously, for years I pretended not to know how to cook just so I wouldn't have to do it at home, but cooking is something I am very good at and enjoy doing :-)
