Terri Marks

I’m an international educator who currently works at an IB school in Dubai. In addition to being a teacher-librarian, I am also an up and coming suspense author and currently pursuing a MFA in TV and Screenwriting. My professional background consists of instilling the love of literacy and creativity into my students. I live and breathe literature, discussing themes, motifs, or other literary elements presented in both film or books that’s applicable to students’ experiences. I take delight in initiating meaningful and relevant discussions with students after watching or reading an intellectually compelling piece that sparks conversation. It’s my ambition to use Ted Talk as another vehicle to ignite students’ passions to explore topics, issues, or events that either inspire or areas they want to emphasize in front of global audiences.
