Relentless optimist, designer by chance, father by vocation. I’ve always had a strong sense of what could be a source of possibility, being more often encouraged by what felt right than by what might be perceived as inescapable circumstances. Design came as a learned ability to create and to make the impossible possible, a language that enabled me to speak about making with others. As a father of six I have to be deeply hopeful of the future and do everything I can to expand our perspective of what can be together.

TED and TEDx videos are probably my most consumed and shared content on the internet. I use them for learning, to get inspired, to renew my faith in humans. I do the same with my community and they are perfect tools for that. In 2012 I joined a group of people to co-organize the first TEDx in Angola, TEDxLuanda and in that year watched my first TED event from beginning to end, and participated in my first TEDx event - TEDxPorto. That was the point of no return, TED was part of my life. In 2014 I was a speaker at TEDxCaldasDaRainha and recently I renewed my love for TEDx by traveling to Birmingham, UK and spend a couple of weeks with the TEDxBrum team and participating in their event. Now we want to do the same at home. Create such will to share, to participate, to make change.
