My TED story started late one night, while I watched Brene' Brown speak at a TED event online. Speaking at a TED event is on my bucket list and so I applied. "Why not? You won't hear back." After being isolated during Covid and caregiving for a family member with Alzheimer's dementia, my introversion was in full swing. What I know to be true is that the Universe rewards action. While sitting in traffic, I received an email regarding my application. After staring at it for an eternity, I pulled over and debated whether I wanted to read the rejection email. What happened next seems like a dream. "Congratulations..." blink, blink, laughter, silent screaming, and calling a friend to read it aloud made it true. Asking for what I want, taking action, created the reality of a long shot dream. It REALLY happened in lightening speed. Boom! As a dreamer, I often think of things that would be amazing, but my fear stops me from moving forward. However, in nearly everything I have taken the action on, it happens and comes true. My TED story has only just begun and I am so excited to see it unfold! My advice, take action! Do it, now! Really, do it!
