About Mohammad Fateh
Bio
I am a mechanical engineer and at the end of 2020, I had the idea to establish a community initiative that helps students in scientific research and knowledge exchange. I founded the Galileo team for continuous scientific research and we worked passionately and diligently to maintain the team's continuity. I supported the team in many areas to continue volunteering without any compensation.
Despite the difficult circumstances, we conducted many training sessions to empower university students in Aleppo, Syria, and we were determined to work professionally and reliably.
I have been participating in debates since 2018 and now I am training judges for university debates with the Syrian Integrity for Development and school debates with the Excellence and Creativity Authority.
I love teamwork and have gained good experience in managing, coordinating, and organizing volunteer teams in all required fields, even in media.
I have conducted many training sessions, discussions, initiatives, and events that focus on social or dialogue issues.
I have participated in many volunteer teams and initiatives, including Hebrew teams.
I love practicing sports, walking, watching movies, listening to podcasts, learning on my own, and participating in diverse discussions.
An idea worth spreading
Critical thinking is a concept that should be promoted in society as it helps analyze information logically and evaluate it in an enlightened and balanced way. Benefits of critical thinking include improved analytical skills, better decision-making, enhanced communication and interaction with others, and the development of creativity and innovation. If critical thinking is promoted in society, it can lead to positive changes in the way we deal with various issues in our lives. Furthermore, critical thinking can help solve some of the most complex problems in society, such as social, economic, and environmental issues. Therefore, societies should encourage and promote critical thinking through education, training, and constructive dialogue. We must recognize the importance of this concept and work to develop our skills in it to better interact with the changing world around us and contribute to achieving positive change in society.
The TED story
Several years ago, I saw an advertisement for a TEDx event in my city. At the time, I didn't know much about TEDx, but I was intrigued by the idea and tried to apply. Since then, I have become more curious and have watched many inspiring and informative talks on various TEDx platforms from different countries, cultures, and topics.
A friend of mine recently spoke at a TEDx event, and his speech was inspiring and had many points that were relevant to young people and guided them. However, there hasn't been another TEDx event in Aleppo since then. I have been involved in community work and trying to inspire young people through initiatives or programs with development associations and organizations. Therefore, I have a desire to work hard to organize a TEDx event that will re-inspire young people, guide them towards their goals, share their experiences and stories, and contribute to positive change in society for everyone involved.
