About Joy

Bio
I am classically trained as an engineer which means I'm hardwired to solve problems. My career has spanned environmental and climate change for the past 20+ years with the last half of that in finance. I bring a multi-disciplinary view to topics combining my experience as an engineer (working on aircraft), in government (Ontario Ministry of the Environment), as a wilderness lover (bear guide for a brief summer!), and from my time in finance working with asset owners, banks, and managers.
I have chaired the decarbonization advisory panel for the New York State Common Retirement Fund, been the in house climate change expert for Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, and am currently implementing the GFANZ Net-zero Transition Plan framework across the global financial sector.
I'm passionate about
so many things and always open for more.
