Hi! I'm Meryem. You can call me Mery! I am a passionate and curious tenth-grade student currently residing in the vibrant city of Istanbul, Turkey. Known for my love of reading, photography, and exploring the natural beauty around me, I have a deep appreciation for the arts and the wonders of the world. Since a young age, I have been captivated by the written word, spending countless hours immersed in books of various genres. This love for reading has not only enriched my knowledge but also fostered a vivid imagination that shines through in my creative endeavors. Photography serves as another outlet for my artistic expression. Armed with a keen eye for detail and a love for capturing moments, I skillfully use photography as a means to document the beauty of everyday life and share my unique perspective with others. Despite my busy academic schedule, I value quality time spent with friends, cherishing moments of laughter and camaraderie. Equally cherished, however, is my appreciation for solitude and introspection, often finding solace in quiet moments spent in nature or engrossed in personal hobbies. TED, short for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, is a global platform renowned for its thought-provoking talks and presentations on a wide range of topics. I attended a TED conference in 2023 which broadened my perspective on TED talks and their effects on people. My TED story began with a simple curiosity, a desire to learn and explore beyond the confines of traditional education. The power of storytelling combined with deep insights and innovative ideas presented in TED talks resonated deeply with me, igniting a thirst for knowledge and inspiration.
