Monica Kang

Monica H. Kang is passionate about bringing out the best in leaders and teams. She specializes in building thriving systems, bridging cross-industry communities, and igniting creativity and innovative thinking. As Chief Strategy and Partnership Officer at SHIA Restaurant by Chef Edward Lee, she oversees the nonprofit fine dining restaurant’s strategy, partnerships, and educational programs to drive operation and strategic success. As Founder & CEO of InnovatorsBox®, Monica provides bilingual executive coaching, workshops, and resources to make creativity and leadership practical for all. In her dedication to building an inclusive community, she has volunteered as Executive Director of TEDxLogan Circle, managing a 30+ volunteer team and 60+ partners since 2024 in Washington, D.C. Her expertise in leadership development and strategic operations spans government, nonprofit, international organizations, and businesses across Washington D.C., Geneva, Vienna, and Seoul. As a bilingual Korean American, she is deeply committed to bridging K-culture across generations and industries. Previously, Monica served as a nuclear nonproliferation policy expert in the U.S. government. Monica holds an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a B.A. from Boston University.
