Nuno Almeida is a Clinical Physiology student at the Escola Superior de Saúde do Porto (E2S), with a strong passion for the world of health research, creativity and entrepreneurship. Winner of two Young Entrepreneurs awards from the La Caixa Foundation, Nuno has brought two social and environmental entrepreneurship projects to the Young Entrepreneurs Campus. He stands out for his talent in ideation, blending creativity and innovation, as well as his love for entrepreneurship. He has also participated in the national “Science On Stage” fair with his Baby Steps project in Chemistry and Physics during the 12th grade. In addition to innovation and business acumen, Nuno organized TEDxIUCS alongside the Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde – CESPU, at the Casa da Cultura de Paredes, exploring the future of health and research. The event was a success, with talks shared on the organization's official TEDx YouTube channel. His creativity skills don’t end there. He was responsible for the design and social media of both the Student Association of the Escola Básica e Secundária de Vilela and TEDxIUCS. Years later, he joined the Communication and Image Department of the Student Association of ESS (aeESS), as well as the Health & Training Department, working as the Board's Secretary as well. Balancing business and innovation, leadership and teamwork, creativity and expertise, Nuno Almeida now takes on the role of Founder & COO of the most promising startup, Braining.

I'm deeply enamoured with entrepreneurship, an arena where creativity and innovation dance hand in hand, birthing new ventures and shaping possibilities. But it doesn't end there – activism, a fire that fuels my soul, propels me to advocate for change and champion causes close to my heart. The art of creation is my compass, guiding me through uncharted territories. Whether it's building businesses, crafting movements, or simply sculpting ideas into reality, the thrill of creation is an intrinsic part of who I am. Investigation, ah, that's where my curiosity thrives. The pursuit of knowledge, the unravelling of mysteries, and the exploration of new horizons captivate me endlessly. There's a certain magic in diving deep into the unknown, piecing together information, and discovering something that challenges conventions. And then, there's the love for travel – a passport not just for places but for the mind. Travelling opens doors to diverse cultures, novel perspectives, and unexplored realms of thought. It's a journey that expands my worldview, enriches my experiences, and adds hues to the canvas of my understanding.

Once upon a time, nestled within the corridors of IUCS-CESPU, there brewed a passionate desire to unlock the mysteries of tomorrow – a desire that sparked the inception of TEDxIUCS. This wasn't just any event; it was an ode to "The Future of Health and Scientific Investigation," conceived from my fervent love for science, health, and research. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, I envisioned a gathering where ideas about the future of health and scientific investigation would converge and ignite discussions. TEDxIUCS became the canvas upon which this vision would unfold. But every visionary needs a team, and I was fortunate to assemble a group of enthusiastic volunteers who shared my zeal. Together, our mission was clear: to curate a platform where revolutionary concepts and inspiring stories could find a voice. We scoured the landscape for speakers, seeking those who not only held expertise but also harbored a vision for what lay ahead in the realms of health and scientific investigation. Each speaker brought a unique piece to the puzzle, painting a vivid picture of the future. TEDxIUCS wasn't just an event; it was an expedition into uncharted territories. Throughout the day, we immersed ourselves in talks that challenged conventions, expanded our perspectives, and kindled the flame of curiosity within us all. As the day unfolded, it became apparent that TEDxIUCS was more than an event—it was a tapestry woven from the threads of innovation, collaboration, and boundless potential. It was a glimpse into the future, a future shaped by the very ideas that were shared and celebrated. With hearts and minds brimming with newfound insights, we departed, each carrying a piece of the future we had collectively envisioned.
