The mobile phone -- even an inexpensive mobile phone -- offers the potential for billions of people not using the World Wide Web now to create, collaborate, and consume content across the Web. This is especially important for people and in regions most in need of basic services and information.

Thanks to Bob Angus and Tim Berners-Lee for encouraging me to participate in my first TED in 2011. Was inspired by the talks and the many conversations in the margins. Future meetings will be even better, now that I learned a bit about how to effectively make use of the limited time available with so many exceptional human beings.
