I'm passionate about

One area that I’m passionate about is self-development and self-improvement in my personal life. I’m always looking to challenge myself and to learn new things. I’ve learned great communication skills, listening skills, public relations and problem-solving skills that help me in my day-to-day work as well as in my personal life in terms of confidence, communication, etc. My keen interest in Event Management and being the Placement coordinator in the Placement and Internship Cell, has helped me gain more knowledge and my recent experience at TEDxVIPS has increased my interest in Public Speaking and bringing these sort of ideas to practical application will defintely help me in expanding my area of knowledge. I have a few interests, and lately I’ve been spending quite a bit of time volunteering for the Humanity. I love their mission and I love working with animals, so it’s been the perfect opportunity for me to grow and rise. My passions may not define who i am but they do define what i live for.

An idea worth spreading

The first concept that I really believe has to be popularised is gender sensitization. The achievement of gender equality, which is a fundamental human right, depends on it. Gender sensitization contributes to the development of a society in which all people, regardless of gender, can live without experiencing violence, harassment, or other forms of discrimination. It entails questioning long-standing gender norms, biases, and preconceptions that have been instilled in our culture for many years. There are various ways to promote gender sensitization, including through public discourse, workshops, training programmes, and education and awareness campaigns. We can foster greater understanding and empathy for persons of different genders by encouraging candid conversations regarding gender problems. By confronting negative attitudes and ideas that encourage violence against women and other marginalised genders, gender sensitization can also aid in the reduction of gender-based violence. We can build a more peaceful and just society by fostering equality and respect for people of all genders. Gender sensitization is an important idea that should be shared, to sum up. It plays a crucial role in establishing gender equality and creating more inclusive and equitable society by fostering understanding, empathy, and respect for persons of all gender

The TED story

Fostering Young Minds:-The Growth of Students" As educators, our primary goal is to help our students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to thrive in life. However, there is one critical element that can make or break a student's success: their mindset. A growth mindset is the belief that intelligencewe are tasked with not only imparting knowledge, but also with shaping the way our students approach learning and problem-solving. A growth mindset, the belief that one's abilities and intelligence can be developed through hard work, persistence, and dedication, is a key factor in achieving success not just in school, but also in life. When students believe that their abilities are fixed and they either have it or they don’t, they tend to shy away from challenges and quickly give up when faced with difficulty. This can be detrimental to their mental health and overall academic success. On the other hand, when students have a growth mindset, they embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, and they are more likely to persist when faced with setbacks. As teachers, we can foster a growth mindset in our students through our daily interactions and classroom practices. We can encourage them to take risks and make mistakes, and we can provide opportunities for them to reflect on their learning and set goals for improvement. We can also model a growth mindset ourselves by sharing our own struggles and experiences with failure. One powerful way to cultivate a growth mindset is through the use of praise. When we praise students for their effort and persistence, rather than for their intelligence or natural talent, we send the message that hard work and dedication are valued over innate ability. This can have a profound impact on students’ motivation and confidence. In conclusion, by fostering a growth mindset in our students, we can help them develop the skills and attitudes they need to be successful in school and beyond. Let us continue to create a classroom culture that values effort, growth, and resilience, and let us inspire our students to believe in themselves and their potential to achieve great things. Thank you

Things you might not know

Although I work as a professor by profession , many people are unaware of the many activities I enjoy doing outside of my regular teaching schedule. One of those things I love a lot is baking and cooking. I have an innate sense of taste and an ability to experiment with diverse ingredient pairings to produce interesting and delectable dishes. I also have a good sense of presentation and can make even the most basic foods seem lovely and delicious. I enjoy doing this as a creative outlet and stress reliever.
