Throughout his career, he has combined a focus for for problem-solving, with actions to improve the world around him. During his studies, he travelled through Iceland learning about the country’s Renewable Energy to create a proposal for Uruguayan energy future. He later interned at PepsiCo where he increased efficiency of production lines by ~30% by creating a machine maintenance and failure predictor. In his final year at GT, he developed an optimization heuristic to help UPS Capital plan their growth into new regions, turning an N2 algorithm in to an N algorithm. After graduating, he worked at LogFire (now Oracle) where he applied his skills on improving customers supply chains, eventually focusing on implementing a new structure and strategy to grow a sales team. Erik volunteers in suicide prevention at Crisis text line, is an active lender at Kiva, and member of the Singularity community. He now works at Google where he has helped customers adopt Google Cloud’s infrastructure services, has built an internal sales acceleration tool, and now focuses on Product Operations and Google Cloud. He has a knack for finding inefficiencies within companies and coming up with time- and money-savings solutions. Through all of his work, he seeks to create a world where technology can be used toward positive social impact. An Argentine native, Erik speaks English, Spanish, and French. He has competed in Kitesurfing for over 10 years and hobbies include sailing, creating art, tennis, and reading.
