The TED story

I can only thank Benjamin Zander for his marvelous talk on 'The transformative power of classical music'. After 20 minutes, I was in tears and hungry for more talks. Since then, many speakers touched me deeply (Aimee Mullins, Sir Ken Robinson, Sarah Kay, young Adora Svitak, Dan Ariely, etc... the list is so long!!). In TED, I found my inspirations. Many 'AHA' moments followed TED talks (i remember clearly the effect JR's talk had on me). And then, I met a network of fantastic people who were as addicTED as I was. Patricia Zougheib, TEDxBeirut curator, welcomed me to her house for weekly TED gatherings. I witnessed the birth of TEDxBeirut through Patricia's dedication, passion and love for TED (and a marvelous team of volunteers). When I moved to London few years later, I was delighted be part of TEDxHackney and meet likeminded people. In 2013, I attended TEDActive, which inspired me to host TEDxCoventGardenWomen in London. Since then, we’ve been hosting TEDx Women events for over 1000+ live audience members featuring more than 50 speakers from all over the world.
