Bio

Mandy Wynn has her sights set on bringing locally sourced, small batch, and ethically made foods beyond the brick and mortar of her storefront, BKLYN Larder. She became proprietor of this famed local shop in 2017, which at the time was in danger of shuttering. Her fascination with the ritual of food consumption led her to create a virtual tasting program that transformed the business and now fosters a strong community. Mandy curates the items for her specialty and online shops so consumers are introduced to new and delicious tastes while supporting brands that prop up their local communities. She has become a connector for foodies who want to support makers that prioritize environmental practices, and she continues to be a trusted voice in specialty foods. Mandy’s philosophy, the more you know about the food you consume, the better it tastes, has become a rallying cry for her team and Larder devotees. Mandy lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, twin teenagers, and two cats. She serves on the board of a local inclusion pre-school and holds a BA and MS from Columbia University. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Mandy’s career spanned communications, public relations and non-profit fundraising.
