Ronell is a People Connector and a Neo-generalist. With over 17 years of experience in communications, including project and event management, she's worked on various brands in the enterprise tech, fintech, gaming tech, impact investment, financial, non-profit, arts, media & consumer sectors. She constantly strives to deepen her understanding of innovative technologies that advance the growth of people, brands, and businesses across the globe, with a particular interest in Design Thinking, Lean Startup methodologies, and how new ways of work can influence communication strategies. On a personal note: Volunteering is a fundamental part of her DNA. She's been a volunteer in the TEDx community in South Africa since 2013 and in 2020 was selected as the first female Curator of TEDxCapeTown.

I started as a social media community manager for TEDxTableMountain in 2013, and in 2015 joined TEDxCapeTown's marketing team. I moved on to become the Brand Lead for TEDxCapeTown and in 2020 was selected as the first female curator for TEDxCapeTown. I also mentor and support TEDxUCT, (my alma mater). The TEDxYouth@CapeTown team is also mentored by myself and other TEDxCapeTown leads.
