I was born in 1950 of Turkish parents in Carmel California. I grew-up in France and was involved in the events of May 1968 in Paris. I carried my higher education in England. In 1970 while waiting to do my military service I became a cameraman. At the end of my military service I went back to Europe to further my education but after contemplating the prospect of being a Turk in Europe I decided that Turkey would offer me better opportunities. So I came back to Turkey in 1975 with the idea of making documentary films. I was first a photographer's assistant and occasional cameraman. In 1978 I became a professional photographer. In 1980 I started to work in a Turkish advertising agency which later came under the roof JWT. In 1987 I set-up my own company Iltek. We are involved in visual corporate communication. We make films as well as documentaries. We prepare presentations for our clients. Today we are a communication design and production house as well as an event management and staging company.

Communication for a better world. Technology, nature, beauty, aesthetics, design. Trying to understand the dynamics of human interaction. Trying to make sense in this world of information overload.

Change the world trough better communication. If only people would communicate with each other, sharing their knowledge, their experiences, their feelings, if only people would listen without prejudice leaving their greed, aside, this world would be a better place to live.
